Solar Powered Hydrogen To Be Worked Hard
When it comes to new technology the researchers and scientists are working hard. It seems that every day we are hearing about new breakthroughs and potential benefits from them. This is now true when it comes to the research being conducted to produce solar powered hydrogen as a fuel source.
It is probably very confusing to you as the average person to really understand all of the scientific jargon and the news reports about them. You hear tidbits of information that tell you just enough to peak your interest but not enough for you to truly understand what is actually occurring.
The media has picked up on the solar powered hydrogen topic and they have reported it in the news. Politicians are also talking about it and even President Bush promised money for research into a hydrogen-powered car. The Governor of California has even made statements that there be hydrogen highways created with special filling stations every 20 miles. The Federal government is even getting on the bandwagon and through the Department of Energy has made funding available to provide support for activities to educate key target audiences and the public about the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier and the path to a hydrogen economy.
But can this really happen? Can we use solar powered hydrogen as the answer to our problems? Will there be enough hydrogen for everyone? How will the hydrogen be created? There are just too many questions to be answered at this time. Some scientists, researchers and environmentalists tell us that solar powered hydrogen is the next natural step in our evolution from fossil fuels. On the other side of the debate, there are people in the same professions that will tell you that this is not the answer and that millions of dollars and years are being wasted on this theory that will never pan out. That is why the research is continuing. As with all research it takes years of careful testing in order to come up with an answer to the problem. It is very easy to sit on the sidelines and say that something will or will not work. But it is really up to the dedicated researches to see whether or not this will work. Decades and billions of dollars may be spent to get the answer to the question of whether or to solar powered hydrogen is a practical solution to many of our problems. So sit back and relax knowing that eventually the answer will be found. It is not possible to know whether or not solar powered hydrogen will solve our problems. It will take time to figure that out. But, in the meantime, you can rest assured that there are people out there trying to find the answer.
